Turquoise blue Rayon Sarong with tribal prints, made of rayon (artificial silk) with batik print. Size 170 x 103 cm. Batik is one of the various "reserve dyeing techniques". It is used to colour fabrics and consists of applying layers of wax on the areas that are not to be dyed (reserved areas), fixing the anilines in those areas not reserved. Indonesian batik, from which our Sarongs come, was inscribed in 2009 on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity of UNESCO. This piece is handmade for each client. Designed by PLATADEPALO and handcrafted in Bali.
